It's just me.

Most of you who will read this blog know that I have a presence on the internet in many places. I try to keep my personal life out of my political commentaries and stuff, but it's hard to do that. In many cases, it's led to me just quitting on the personal stuff and keeping up the political stuff. But something inside me is always crying out for the chance to just talk about my life. When I try to do it on my videos on You Tube, people actually tell me that they don't want to watch that sort of thing (the nerve of some people). I also always feel like I have to market myself. To get my message out, I need a wide audience. And to be honest, I wouldn't mind more traffic on my blog so that I could get more ad revenue. But the endless self-promotion is tiresome and it's just not me. I want to talk about my take on things in general and about my personal life. And thus, I have begun my personal blog. I will not be merging this in any way from my other works. I will not be promoting this blog in any way. Those of you who read this will probably find it by me sending you a specific post that I wanted you to read. Others may find this blog because it's attached to the blog about our new baby. That's fine. I'm not trying to keep people from reading my blog, I'm just not searching for a big audience. If you read this, hopefully you are one of those people who cares about my personal life and don't just see me as someone to hear from on topics related to politics and American culture.

So begins the blog of Matthew J. Just me. No affiliations, no promotions. Just Matthew J.
